Once Koiku, her friend and I had seen everything we wanted to see, we worked our way to the specified meeting spot. We stopped at lots of little shops and purchased a few things. They loved stopping and looking at everything, which was not a problem because everything was new and interesting to me. The walk between the two temples took about three or four hours. I don't think they were very far apart, but we got lost a few times, and talked with others in our group, etc and that slows us down. Anyways, the pictures and movies below give a good overview of what we saw.

3-4 hour walk between temples! I hope you didn't have to walk back!
For you, as you say, everything was new and interesting. Had your Japanese friends been there before? What did they think of it? Did they explain things to you?
