Plane Trip from DC to Tokyo

When I arrived in Japan I made this rough path of the route my plane went on. I didn't think we would be flying up to the North Pole, Russia, etc. but it must be a shorter path...anyways check out the picture below. The path we took is the thin white line. This was made with Google Earth.

You're probably wondering how I know this right? Well, on the TV screen on plane they showed the where the plane was, the temperature outside of the plane, traveling speed, how far we had gone and how much further to go. It was interesting, but gets kinda boring after 14 hours of it...there were movies and such as well, but they weren't very entertaining...
