On the second day of the Kyoto trip we went to Kinkakuji and then Tenryū-ji. I would say that Kinkakuji was the best stop of the entire trip. Of all the things I have seen in Japan I would say Kinkakuji and Fushimi Inari-taisha are tied as the most beautiful and awe-inspiring. Anyways, Kinkakuji was really great, even for the second time.
After that we went to Tenryū-ji. The landscaping was nicer than most other Japanese landscaping jobs I have seen. It would be awesome to have a private house with that landscaping and view. There was a garden part/path and also a temple section. Visitors, had to pay to see each one. This temple was near Arayashima station, so there were tons of little shops everywhere.
