Last Weekend

On Friday Josh and I went to the movies with Midori and Yuri, two Japanese girls we met at the culture festival last weekend. They wanted to see "PS I Love You", so we saw that. The movie had some funny parts, but it was strange because Josh and I were the only people laughing. Either the Japanese people didn't understand the humor, or they don't laugh in movie theaters, or something. But, as we watched, Josh and I were both reading some of the Japanese subtitles and noticed it was not well translated. That probably helped deter laughing from the audience. Also, the theater itself was really, really small. It had a maximum of 30 seats and the screen was something that you might find in a wealthy persons living room; It was that small. Overall it was a good time, the tickets were Y1000($10) and I enjoyed the company.

Next weekend we have a home stay with middle school students. It should be really interesting. Apparently, these students have a very rigorous English program and are better English speakers that most there age, so we shall see.

As usual, there is always lots of homework and quizzes to study for, so weekdays usually relatively dull, but educational...
