Trip to Chubu Daigaku
I left Tokyo at about noon on Monday and took the shinkansen(trains that go ~130-180mph) to Nagoya. It was a very simple process; I went to Tokyo station and then the shinkansen went directly to Nagoya Station. The train ride took about 90 minutes and was very smooth the entire way, I could barely tell I was on a train at all. From Nagoya station I went to Centrair(Nagoya's airport) where I was picked up by Chubu University staff members. What makes this airport unique is it's on a man-made island(34°51′30″N 136°48′19″E). We waited for the other students to arrive which took about an hour, so Mr. King, an english teacher and I went to get some food. We ended up at a Japanese chickenwings type place. The food was cheap and quite good. Once we had everyone, we headed for the school and it took an hour or so. Tired from the day's travels I went to sleep once I was assigned my room.
